Research Groups & Programs

My research group, Technology Opening Diverse Opportunities for Science (TODOS), investigates students’ learning processes as they study core science concepts in technology-rich environments. Our work focuses on integrating research on learning into online environments to support diverse student populations studying science. Scaffolding argumentation and discourse within these environments as well as helping students coordinate multiple representations of complex science concepts are at the heart of our current work.

In addition to my work with TODOS, I also work closely with the research centers linked below.

The TELS Educational Accelerator Center

The Web-based Integrated Science Environment (WISE)

Center for Research on Education in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, and Technology (CRESMET)

Professional Organizations
